There Will Be Blood

A lot of progress on drilling the holes this last few days.  Gina even got to do her first Clecoing.

She likes this a lot better than in the old days when she had to hold something while I welded it.

We had a lot of visitors today.  Myron, Robert, and Don came by to help.  Myron has always had a love/hate relationship with cats, especially Bleriot.  She loves to hook him when he teases her and he hates it when she connects and draws blood.

One satisfied cat.

We also had Rose and Cameron come by.  She used to work at Sikorsky and is interested in a job at Spirit.  They came down to check out the scene.  They got to see all of the ubiquitous home movies, The Jump, The Acro Sport Flight, and The Erection.

Anyway, a lot of drilling went on to the point I had to tap another source for Clecos.  The outer skins are now drilled to final size except where the temporary rivets are holding it together on the front section.  I even went to the trouble of drilling them with a #30 drill bit and reaming them to #29 for a better finished hole.  The long run for the short slide as Jerry would say.

More of the same tomorrow.
